let’s do some therapy
grief/dissociation/embodiment
Hey there!
My name is Gabriella Losada and I’m the human behind Bright Omen Therapy. I’m a Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Emily Berry, LPC. I offer services to adults living in Oregon who are navigating grief, depersonalization/derealization, or intimacy after trauma.
A bit about the name, Bright Omen:
Throughout the tedious brainstorming process of naming my practice, the word “omen” kept coming up. I love learning about folklore and superstitions so it felt true to my interests while also capturing the importance of duality. Many of us have assigned positive and ominous meanings to different objects in an attempt to make sense of the chaos of grief and trauma and most cultures incorporate the concept of omens (or something similar) which felt like a powerful thread of collective connectivity. While some omens are seen as harbingers, others can be deeply personal reminders of loved ones or good luck symbols. Because culture, lived experience, and interpretation shape how we navigate hardship, a bright omen can bring a sense of hope while still acknowledging both sides of the coin.
